Thanks for the interest guys, I had given up on the thread!
The turkey came out wonderful, very juicy and flavorful. I basically followed Alton Brown's recipe, which I do a lot by the way! The only snag I hit was because of my inexperience with cooking turkeys or any whole bird, I had trouble finding the deepest part of the meat when I was checking internal temperature; I probably could've pulled it 15-20 minutes before I did and it would've been even better. All in all it was fun and I've been in a tryptophan haze for the past two days
One more thing, my grandmother's turkeys never tasted this good but shhhhh don't tell her!
