You bet! I've been in and out of town takin care of my Mama, but I'm in grilling mode the next few days, weather allowing. People laugh at me because I'm always taking pics of food, but it's my thing! Don't know that I'll have anything as beautiful and imaginative as what I've seen here, but I'll share just the same!

Patatas bravas, a traditional Spanish dish of roasted potatoes tossed in a sauce of tomatoes, onions and garlic, smoky and hot paprika, made in a lighter summer variation using barely cooked chunks of fresh tomato.

Daggonit! I took a pic of tonight's dinner for Rob, and the flash made the pic all grainy! (no pun intended); I guess I can post it, but I was already disappointed a little bit, but hubby was not, which made me happy. Marinated and grilled flank steak (would've grilled it longer, but was more concerned about over cooking it); grilled viggies w/black beans, and avocado and tomato salad.

No worries, Kim! Don't post it unless you're happy with it! I usually shoot mine in the kitchen with all the track lights and hanging lights on. Light is your friend in food photography.

Glad hubby liked dinner!

Our recent discussions on faux meats prompted me to samole something new: LightLife Smart Wings with a celery and blue cheese salad, served with farmers' market potato rolls and a simple Rioja Vega 2009 Rioja. "Hail to thee, blithe spirit! Bird thou never wert." ;)

Random tacos: fried green tomatoes, tofu, cabbage/avocado/orange tomato/black radish/green bell pepper/lime/buttermilk slaw, and fire roasted poblano & corn/sweet onion/feta relish.

Looks good, Ken!

For us tonight, a cool and colorful summer garden salad of crisp-tender green and yellow beans, red new potatoes, diced Italian oxheart tomatoes and sliced onions tossed with salt and pepper and Sicilian olive oil. (Also rubbed the bowl with a smashed garlic clove to impart a scent, but decided not to use raw garlic in the dish - trying for balance  with this one.)

I wish this watermelon gazpacho salad w/feta didn't look like someone threw up in a bowl. Tasted good though.
