shucking corn (or not)

by Andrew Mellman » Sat Oct 15, 2011 6:08 pm

I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnBF6bv4Oe4, which shows how to cook corn on the cob in a microwave where it comes out perfectly cooked and with absolutely no silk whatsoever.

Has anyone ever done this??? Does it really work?

I have been cooking corn in the microwave like that for years. The cutting the end is new to me though. When you open the corn cooked this way the "old fashioned way", it slips right out of the silk, too. I will have to try this way next time.... :D
