by Carla G » Mon Feb 14, 2011 9:36 am

Saw it at Krogers. Anyone tried it?

That sounds very unhealthy & not "real" food at all. I would discourage you from eating this type of food.

Riffing from Chris's prudent testimony, I'm thinking that "Cheddar" and "Bacon" both appeal to me, but I suspect that in such a product they would probably relate to the real thing as the "tea" in mass-market tea bags relates to the real thing.

Haven't tried the cheddar-bacon, but did try the nacho cheese and the cheddar, and both were artificial tasing. We found much better luck microwaving regular popcorn, putting it in a bowl, mixing in shredded cheese (whatever flavor you want), and then zapping it briefly again.

I caved and tried it. Mehhhhh. Blah.
Better might be to pop corn with a little bacon grease in the oil but I can't bring myself to do that either.

I have gone back to popping my corn on the stove. I think it tastes MUCH better than microwave, And yes Carla, I have used a bit of bacon grease in the oil once in awhile. I prefer bacon salt if Im looking for that flavor. Its kinda expensive but its a fun "condiment" to have in the kitchen.

I recently became enlightened to loose leaf teas. To think all this time, I thought that stuff in bags was actual tea. You live and you learn, I guess.
