Tumbleweed salsa-A Guilty Pleasure

by Tony D. » Sun Feb 06, 2011 4:48 pm

Does anyone have access to actual recipe info for Tumbleweed's mild salsa? I know it is no culinary masterpiece, but when I get my hands on it I could eat it with a spoon. I could probably knock something together based on the ingredient list on the jar, but that kind of trial and error uses up a lot of tortilla chips. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it at Kroger

I know it's not salsa, but I have an old-school Tumbleweed queso recipe I could dig up if you're interested.

I tried Tony. I asked my ex who worked with TW for years and years and he had no idea. The spices came pre-packed from TW's commissary to ensure consistency and also keep the recipe secure. Other than that you could pretty well guess the rest of the ingredients... tomatoes, onions etc.

It always tasted like Pace brand to me.

Well, thanks anyway. Guess it's time to break out the food processor.

Kroger on Hubbards has it. I saw it today. It is in the organic candy section.
