I'm disappointed that I won't be able to help welcome our new friends to Louisville and our forum. I'm nearing the end of KTIP (first year teacher internship program) and I'm swamped with work work work. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet Phil and Donna at another offline when this is all over.

Last minute change in food selection - Richard is getting finger sandwiches, a veggie selection he has been raving about for 2 weeks.

As a retired teacher, Jessica, I certainly understand your work load.

I will be an hour delayed - I am on call this weekend and I just finished up with a real doozy. Hopefully I won't have another interruption in the mean time!

Ditto, ditto and ditto to everything Annemarie said. What a lovely evening and , as always Gayle, you are the ideal hostess. I may have to go back and redo my "10 foods I can't live without" list.

We had a wonderful time as always and thank Gayle so much for the hospitality. Phil and Donna are delightful and we're very happy to have them here in Louisville! All the food was great as usual, although it's a real shame that there wasn't enough to feed everyone

What a lovely evening! Thank you Gayle for your hospitality, once again! Phil & Donna, we hope to get together with you soon. Outstanding food, wonderful company, new friendships, what could be better? Such a talented group of foodies!

Gayle ... FANTASTIC EVENT! Great meeting more people from the forum and as has already been mentioned, the food was divine! The chicken & figs, the previously mentioned salad, the cookies and scones ... I wasn't planning on eating much because I wasn't feeling very well, but the delicious goodies must have had healing qualities as I felt much better by the time I left! Great fun, all! :D

I echo everyone's sentiments. The food was amazing- Stephen, your mistake was outrageously good, Galye, the chicken with figs were womdeful. And I finally got to sample Colleen's bread!!!
Phil, it was a pleasure to meet you and Donna, I felt like I was back on the UWS.
I promised a few people I would post the Wild Rice recipe and I will asap.
A wonderful Sunday, all in all.

Gayle, thanks for hosting a great party. It was wonderful meeting more forumites. And echoing Gary's note above, I'd love to have a recipe of your mistake, Stephen.

I'll triple the request for Stephen's recipe for his "mistake"! (Oh, if only my mistakes turned out so well ...)
