Care to break bread with the Mainers 10/27?

by Steve A » Fri Oct 17, 2008 6:29 am

Remember me?

We had hoped to be moving into Louisville by now, but fate and the fact that we haven't sold our house have intervened.

Instead, we are coming up to Louisville in another week or so to get a better lay of the land, and to take a brief respite before winter settles in up here in Maine (and according to the Farmer's Almanac it's supposed to be a nasty one).

I thought it might be fun to get together with anybody who might be interested for lunch or dinner on Monday, October 27.

Any interest?

Steve, I don't know what Ed's PM said, but Mary and I would likely be available for a lunch, or possibly a dinner, on the 27th.

Sounds like we have a good start. We're on vacation and have no real schedule, so we'll go with the consensus for lunch or dinner.

I enjoyed meeting you guys the last time you were here!!!! I will have to give you a definite maybe on meeting for a meal.
My schedule has been crazy lately and I can't plan more than a couple of days out.

BTW, I have recommendations for a Realtor as well!!!

I would like to offer Impellizzeri's for lunch or dinner. We are closed Monday for lunch but I can set up a private event, or we can handle a group for dinner with no problem.

I would like to do an event with pasta, pizza salad, and yes breadstixs for $8 per person. This would not include alcohol.

I could handle 20 people, lunch or dinner. We could discuss more if needed.

This is what Robin calls "Louisville style pizza." A 7 time "Best of Louisville" award winner.

We could even do some "off the menu pizzas" on request.

Have our famous Breadstix, homemade sausage, homemade link sausage, and homemade meatballs on pizza or pasta.

It could be my best chance to meet some more foodies and welcome a new foodie to Louisville!

ps: We will hold a late spot for you, Dan.

Not trying to impose. Just an offer, if you are up for pizza. If not maybe some other time.

That's a great offer and very kind of you, Wes. We're always up for pizza (and good conversation).

I was waiting to respond because right now we only have 5 definites, and was hoping we'd get some more takers to make it worthwhile for you to fire up the ovens.

If a small party's okay, I'll cast our vote for dinner on Monday the 27th.

I would love to join you! I already have an appointment in the evening but lunch sounds wonderful! Let me know what time you decide (lunch or dinner).

Shall we just settle on lunch Monday, name a place and start taking names?

We can do either location. We are closed for lunch so you would have the restaurant to yourselves. Which means you can choose tv viewing or not, and style of background music.

The sooner you can let me know which location the better. Highlands or east end? Also a time, you know scheduling.

I'm looking forward to it.

I'm an East End boy myself, so that would get my vote.

Come to the Holiday Manor location, and get a look at our new Italian deck ovens.
