Hate to lose Gary, but Sunday is much better for me - that way I don't have to take Saturday off at Lou Lou, and that's a huge plus.

Plus, what with the kitchen and the pool and everything - I don't know why we didn't plan it there to begin with! 8)

NEW DATE & LOCATION FOR THE BOOKDRIVE BBQ!
SUNDAY JULY 20TH @ 1:00 PM AT THE CARDINAL HARBOUR PAVILION
IN CARDINAL HARBOUR.
BRING THE FOOD, KIDS, SWIM TRUNKS AND BOOKS!

From Louisville follow West Highway 42 out of Prospect into Oldham County. Follow US 42 out approximately 2-3 miles.
At Highway 1793 take a left and follow 1793 for approximately 2 miles. There is a traffic light at Highway 42 & Highway 1793
Near the end of Highway 1793 you will find yourself coming down a very steep hill cut between rocks heading down towards the river.
At the very bottom of the hill is a 4 way intersection which is North Rose Island Road. No stop signs on 1793, only on N Rose Island Road
Turn right onto N Rose Island and come approximately 1/2 to 1 mile until you see the main entrance to Cardinal Harbour on your left.
Turn left and come down Cardinal Harbour Road for approximately 250 yards and turn right into the driveway at the pavilion. Park and come on in.

Coming out of LaGrange just follow Highway 42 down through Goshen until you see Highway 1793. Turn right and follow the above directions.

For those coming out the Gene Snyder: Stay on the Snyder northbound until it dead ends into US Highway 42. Turn right and go through Prospect and into Oldham County til you hit Highway 1793.........

Google map gets it right if you put in your start location address and end at Oriole Place, Prospect, Ky 40059. Directly across from the intersection of Cardinal Harbour Road and Oriole Place you will see a road on the map without a name. That is the driveway for the pavilion

Sorry for the mix up but hope to see as many there as possible.

Thanks

PS........Beer is welcome if you want to bring some, David. :D

Daughter and I (and maybe hubby) will be coming. I'll bring sweet tea and something else. Anything we really need?

Does anyone have any preferences what BBC beer I bring?

I think most people have odds and ends of paper plates, napkins, cutlery and such at home, please bring them with you.

I think brewers choice on the beer, David. Thanks for sharing.

After the venue and food I typically forget about all the little extras that may be needed.
I'll grab some ice on Sunday and bring an assortment of large serving utensils. Please feel free to bring anything that you know is typically forgotten.

There is a nice kitchen space with a double sink for washing up, fridge and freezer, stove with oven. We will have at least one large grill from my house plus the small park size built in grill I think is still there.

Like Carol, I can bring plates, napkins, cups, toothpicks, wet-wipes ... is there anything specific that is needed?
