Now all we need are "impartial" judges!

On a 1 to 10 scale I feel these are the most important requirements..

1.Presentation

2.Flavor

3.Uniqueness(is this really a word?)

4.Lets get together and eat some Bacon and then go to a Bat's game!

Agreed here. Need a date as well!

Per my suggestion, a Monday in August when our boys are in town!!! The 4th, 11th and 25 are there for the taking....

Any takers?

Monday is my only day off this time of year and Dave has graciously offered to host this event at the BBC Taproom on Main St. If any of these dates look good them let's pick one! Say around 6:00 pm and afterwards those who like baseball(Like myself) can walk across the street to take in a game!

The 4th or the 11th are good with a preference towards the 11th.

So far the only date in August that won't work is the 18th. The LAGERS homebrew club has the tap room.

There are Bats games on the 4th & 11th.

I'm cool with the 4th or 11th. We would love to go to the game!

Hmmm....

As far as judges are concerned, looks like we have Ed and (i'm assuming) David.

Do we need more judges? If so, I'd be willing to switch over.

I could judge if needed but will be slinging beers. I'm sure we'll get lots of judges as the day draws near.

I'll volunteer to judge, set out the plates, wash the dishes, take pictures, sweep the floor, whatever you need for a taste of what sounds to be bacon nirvana!!

I would prefer the 4th, I have the big Pro-Am celeb golf tournament still going on the 11th, Wolf Challenege. The 25th was mentioned also, that work for me as well. I may have missed it but do we have any set rules for this competition? And how many people are each of the entries feeding?

Oh no, no, no, no.......no judging for me, I'm in it to compete. 26 years of firehouse chef qualifies me for competition. I'm in the old school BLT corner. Home baked bread, good bacon and the freshest, juiciest home grown 'mater I can find. Depending on the crowd that signs up, each chef should be able to produce 6-10 BLT's. I'll second Suzi as a judge and nominate Robin Garr as well. Anyone propose a 3rd?

Let's tighten up the rules a bit. It boils down to:

1. Presentation
2. Taste
3. Having a hell of a good time munchin' bacon and glorious 'maters!

......and the 4th is fine as well.

I'm down with the 4th!!!

Also, I may be able to wrangle some free tickets to the game for participants. They won't all be together but In different groups of 4.
