TRAINS

by Bill P » Tue Apr 06, 2010 9:02 pm

I have some Lionel trains from circa 1940-1950 that are in need of some "routine maintenance". Anyone know of anyone in these parts who does this sort of work? Model RR shop or enthusiast?

That's right next to J. Gumbo's, isn't it? I've often wanted to stop the car and go look in the windows. Looks like a classic urban hobbyist shop. No experience of it, though, no way to testify other than that it really looks cool. 8)

Yes thats the place! And to be honest, I have never been there either. It's in my hood and my neighbor is a big train enthusiast and he spends lots of time/money there! Looks cool to me too!

My ex-husband was BIG into model trains. We lived in Danville and I don't think we ever came to Louisville without making a stop at the Roundhouse in Brownsboro Centre. Also made many a stop at a shop on the right hand side of Preston south of the Waterson. Sorry, can't remember the name.
