Are You a Hubby?

by Bill P » Sun Mar 21, 2010 6:52 pm

I notice that a lot of wifies around here refer to their partners as Hubbies. Must be a Southern thing! My spouse has a name...well, actually just initials, NJ.
If I ever referred to NJ as Wifey, I'd better just head to the woodshed.

It could be worse! On another board which I frequent, male spouses are generally referred to as "DH",which can mean "Darling Husband", "Dear Hubby" or "Darn Husband" or even "D*mn Husband". A lot must be interpreted from how the acronym is used.

Excuse me? I believe the part of my reply which you chose not to quote, did indeed refer to the topic. Nor did I understand that this forum required the sexes to be dealt with separately. But if it makes you feel better I will gladly delete my response.

I am sorry, but I agree with Gayle - there's no sign saying "men only thread"!!!

I guess I'm not very good at using the smiley emoticon. Sooo, my reply was intended as a JOKE. If some of the women were unintentionally offended I offer my apologies.
And, FWIW,and in the interest of full disclosure, I have never asked any poster to remove a post..ever.

Maybe it's a Mars vs Venus thing. I didn't get to see Gayle's whole post, but from what I can reconstruct here, Bill's post looked like friendly joshin' to me.

Just be glad they aren't being referred to as "Wasbands"

I'm a sweetie.

But then my sweetie's a sweetie too.

Oh, and there are other terms of endearment, but you're not getting them out of me on this here forum. No, sir and/or madam.

But let me make this clear, I am never a shmoopie.
