The less expensive Stay & Go cookers were attractive because of the clamps to prevent spillage when transporting food. But, I liked the programmable features (cooks for x-time and then switches to "keep warm") and the probe's a nice feature too. This unit had all of these features.

To tell the truth, I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but I'll post an update soon.

I got a Mauviel Cupretam Pour la Table Tinned Copper Fondue Pot for my wife. We recently visited Mont Saint-Michel in Normandie, France for our 1st anniversary where Mauviel products are made & I thought that it would be a nice reminder of such a wonderful time. Not to mention the fact that we love to cook with copper & to entertain family/friends.

My wife got me a Samsung LN46B550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color (we got it for about $140 less than the list price & it came with a free Samsung Blu-Ray player thanks to a coupon code on SlickDeals. Our other television, which is a 24" Samsung CRT has been good to us & will be going in to the bedroom, but we needed something with a little more pizazz.

Note: We wouldn't normally spend this much money but last year we went through some really tough times, financially, & we weren't able to get anything for each-other. I suppose we're sort of making up for lost time.

We only did stocking stuffers for each other this year, but I was so tickled that he got me a red headed pot scrubber. Sounds so stupid..but I thought it was funny. i don't even want to use it to scrub pots it's too cute.

Oh...and Santa brought my son, Benjamin, his very first kitchen. He loves it. But is it funny that he puts stuff in the microwave and then stands there with his hands on his hips?? Image

Clay and I got a Breville Convection Toaster Oven. We had just asked for the standard $30 type toaster oven, but Mom and Dad insisted that we needed this one. I have to say, it knows how to perfectly bake cookies to be crisp on the outside and gooey in the middles!

ohhh nice kitchen, mommy's know that is one of the cool ones. that is so cute with the microwave. My boys have a little tykes kitchen i bought on CL this summer. i got it for 8 bucks, awesome deal. The boys are barely starting to use it. They go into the pantry, take ALL, and i mean ALLLL of the cans put them in their shopping cart and then put them away in their little kitchen. too cute.

Amongst other things, I got the game "Foodie Fight" ( 2 copies - one from Mom and one from my sister). I wonder why???

Deb- I gave 3 of those as presents this year!
I haven't played it myself, but it looked like fun.
My brother gave me a restaurant sized roll of aluminum foil (yippee!!), and a friend I often cook for gave me 10 oven mitts since I seem to set them afire frequently.

A second Sil-pat sheet! Yeah! This is great because I always cook 2 trays of cookies at a time. (I already had one Sil-pat sheet)
None of my other gifts were food related unless you count the gift card from Krogers!
