Dexter

by Nimbus Couzin » Mon Dec 14, 2009 1:20 pm

So does anyone here watch Dexter? Great show. Anyway, I just found out that Jennifer Carpenter is married to Michael Hall in real life. (they're bro' and sis' on the show). And that Carpenter grew up in Louisville, went to school, Walden, etc here. So they apparently come back frequently to visit family.

Has anyone seen them out and about? Just curious. I figure they'd go out to nicer restaurants sometimes. Hopefully, they don't have to hide inside. But maybe Louisville is a good escape for them from the craziness of Hollywood.

Cheers,

I've seen them at Stevens and Stevens and I know that Michael Hall has been to Doo Wop as well.

GREAT show!

This is completely unrelated to Dexter, but last year, around this time, we saw William Mapother with a group of folks at Cafe Lou Lou.

They have been out here several times, sometimes noticed other times not. Really good down to earth folk.

By the way the season ender was "killer", wasn't it ?

Yes, the finale was amazing. I won't say much in case someone here has yet to watch it. I really didn't expect that. He's going to have a tough time ahead next season.

I think he's going to be seriously analyzing his adherence to and modification of Harry's code.

Cool that they're out and about in Louisville!

Alas, I have not caught up on this season, although I'm _dying_ to!

William Mapother was in Impellizzeri's on Brownsboro yesterday.

Darn it, I was hoping for another Dexter sighting. They've gotta be in town.. the last interview of him I saw, he was looking pretty scruffy. But he and his Jennifer Carpenter would be hard to miss for anyone who knows the show...

Thanks!

Oooh, William Mapother... I worked at Seviche for 2 1/2 yrs and he came in there every time he was in town (he's from here and his mother was always with him). I did extra "table greets" on those occasions. LOST is my favorite show, Dexter is my second. But I don't have cable, so I plan to rent the Dexter season from Wild and Wooly (they rent entire seasons for the cost of one DVD, fyi - economically sound to me [$4 for a week]) when it's out - so NO spoilers please! I've seen every episode leading up this past season twice or more.

***Admittedly, LOST and Dexter have 2 new contenders in my life: The IT Crowd and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I've only found the IT Crowd at Wild and Wooly and it's not on cable (British sitcom), but I urge everyone to check it out. So flippin' funny - kind of like Seinfeld meets The Office. Sunny in Philly is a matter of taste, but the innappropriate humor get's my goat.

Jackie,
You'd better get this last season soon. There is a serious spoiler out there and it'll mess it up for you big time if someone slips. Great season! The writers are going to be digging into next season coming soon...already anxiously awaiting....

If they were here for the holidays (likely). They're long gone now. It is 73 degrees in Hollywood right now as I type. About 18 degrees here. Tough choice.

I don't watch golden globes or any similar events, but I want to give congrats to Michael C Hall, and John Lithgow, for winning best actor and best supporting actor, both in the Dexter TV show.

Whoohooo...

My favorite show (by far). Nice to see them get some public recognition. Ratings were high too. (I'd guess I watch a physical tv about once a month).

Also, my best wishes to Micheal Hall, who is undergoing cancer treatment. He attended the awards with a "ski cap" due to his chemo. We should all be grateful for every day of life! May he get well soon.

Peace, and happy MLK day!
