cursed vista!

we have a printer that to my knowledge, works. my bf bought it around 2001 and used it with a desktop. we pulled it down out of the attic the other night and found it's cord is usb so it was able to plug into my laptop. my windows vista did a search for driver software (?). the only thing it came up with is that this printer isn't compatible with vista. is there anything else i can try or is this printer useless to us?

Go to the manufacturer's website and search for drivers on that yourself. The vista driver finder was not always the best from what I recall. The other option would be to google for your printer model number and vista and see if anyone has had any luck getting it working.
