Alliance Francaise de Louisville is having an Open House today from 4 to 8 pm. AFL is Louisville's center for French language classes and cultural events. We have moved to St. Matthews in the Miraflores building at 173 Sears Avenue (near the old Sears!) in the lower level.
We came in from the cold suburbs of Hurstbourne Lane to a Louisville Originals hot spot. For the forum, the best way to give directions are by restaurant. We are just behind Del Friscos, Havana Rhumba, and Sage; we are down the street a block from Equus/Jacks and Cafe Lou Lou; not more than a few minutes walk from Heine Brothers, Papa Johns (they're local, right?), and 211 Clover Lane.
Our fall classes start Monday Sept. 14 - I hope you've noticed our ad on the LHB pages that includes a link to registration information and a map to our new place. Thanks to the LHB crew for helping us get this ad in place quickly and looking good.
We don't have our cooking classes scheduled yet, but we'll do some this fall, probably continuing to enjoy the food and stories of Chef Gregoire Guiot of Mirabelle Catering and Jewish Hospital. And we'll be doing our annual Wine Tasting, probably early next year (usually around Valentines Day).
Merci,
Ward Wilson - AFL Board member and LHB forumite
