Anyone know anything about the HWY 127 Garage Sale

OK...a few years ago I saw this program on (I think) the Travel Channel about the HWY 127 Garage Sale (billed as "The World's Longest Garage Sale"). It runs the weekend of Aug 6-9 and the route begins in Ohio running all the way through KY and TN ending in Gadsden AL. While not a "garage saler" at heart the program made this event looked like a hoot. Does anyone know anything about this sale ? Are there any small town (KY) stops along the route ? It sounds like a great "Sunday Drive".

Thanks for the link. I went to the website and didn't really find any references to KY (other than the route). The TV program made this look like a 600+ mile long hell bent in pursuit of junk garage sale...So I'm thinking there must be -some- kind of KY representation. Just thought someone on the forum might have had some experience with this event. If not, well I'll report back to ya'll in a couple of weeks. Gotta find me some "stuff"

I would try around Frankfort and head south to Lawrenceburg.

Nice ride from I-71 down through Harrodsburg and Danville. Lots of stuff... be careful when you get on and off 127 so you dont get rearended or drive over somebody while checking out a good sale. Lots of places have pull outs with parking lots full of stuff too.

Alrighty...We'll go to Frankfort and then head south to Danville. Haven't seen that part of Kentucky yet. Can't wait to bring back some jun.....errrr I mean stuff to show ya'll.
