Seamstres/Tailor

by Bill Veneman » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:14 pm

I am in need, since I've dropped 50 pounds over the last year, of somebody reliable, reasonably priced, and in the East End to do some alterations. I nearly dropped my uppers when I got a pair of pants hemmed at one of the cleaners in Middletown, and it was $15 to do that......

Thanks in advance

8) Congratulations on the weight loss! :D

Bill, it's almost right across the street from you! I can't think of the name, but it is the tailor shop right behind J. Staples Jewelry on Shelbyville Rd. Nancy Ann and I have used her for nigh unto to ten years.

I also extend congratulations to you! In Middletown, I have used the tailors next to Warren's Barber Shop. It is owned by a very nice Asian man and his mom. Her English is limited, but she is amazing. I feel her prices are reasonable. You do have to pay cash up front, but her turn around time is quick. I think it is called "Li-Li's". You can find it across the street, on Shelbyville Road, from the Goodwill/Paul's Market area.

Bill, the name of the shop to which I referred earlier is Sherry's Alterations, 9800 Shelbyville Rd # 3105,
Louisville, KY 40223,(502) 426-7776. Sherry is also Asian lady who is very nice and pleasant. Her English is quite sufficient and she, too, is amazing. Both Nancy Ann and I think her prices are reasonable and you do not have to pay cash up front.
