Prayer Request

by Suzi Bernert » Fri May 29, 2009 12:02 am

Please keep our Paramedic that was stabbed tonight in Middletown in your prayers. So far it looks good for his recovery, but the whole situation has all of LMEMS very upset. I know this young man, he is skilled and dedicated, he was there over 1 hour before his shift began to get his equipment ready. I cannot express my frustration and anger over this adequately. I will not sleep tonight worrying about this fine person, his family and all my brothers and sisters at EMS.

Thanks!!

Suzi,

I haven't seen the news yet. But I'm sorry to hear about the stabbing and hope that he makes a full recovery.

I read about that yesterday Suzi and immediately worried about you. As I read further is saw the pronoun "he" and at least knew you were OK. Still, how horrible for someone that dedicates their life to helping others in their time of immediate need. He has my prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

Thanks Carla, but I have been off "the street" since my back surgery, I work in Education now. The world has changed so much - it is very scary now to think of all the times it was me out in an ambulance at night alone, and a citizen came up and asked for a bandaid, or directions and, yes, for money. Our guy is being released from the hosptial today, thank God, it could have been so much worse.

Glad to hear he is OK. Was the perpetrator apprehended?
