St. Matthews Farmers' Market

Hello Everyone!

Sorry this did not go up last week but let's just consider it a soft opening! The market is now open and very excited to be in its 3rd year of operation. We have many of the same vendors from last year but a few new faces in the crowd as well. Every Saturday, rain or shine, we will operate from 8AM to 12PM. For more detailed information please visit our website at http://www.beargrass.org/market. You can sign up for our newsletter to receive weekly updates too.

This weekend we will have Seniors Appreciation weekend with music from Mark "Big Poppa" Stampley and there will also be a drawing for a "Market Basket" of goodies from our vendors. The drawing will take place Saturday morning at 10:30 and is restricted to seniors age 65+. Hope to see you at the market this year!

I was there yesterday at about 11 or 11:30 and it was packed! Are you considering extended hours? I also love the addition of the pick-nic tables. (Or were they there last year and I just didn't notice?)

I, too, wish they were open alittle later. Our farmers market here in town goes until 2 or 3, depending on traffic of shoppers. I certainly think this one would stay busy until 2, especially with the food offerings available for immediate consumption.
