Does Anyone Know Anything About Expo 5?

I have some friends who are driving an RV down for Derby. They found the Expo 5 site on the internet and are considering parking (and sleeping) there for the weekend. Looks like Expo 5 is located around 7th & Berry Blvd. Anyone familiar with it?

I poked around the website a bit and it appears to be a sort of mish-mosh of things (flea market, event space, boxing matches, RV parking etc.) Without having any first hand experience with the place, I'm just wondering if it is legitimate and safe.

The area you are referring to is a bit rough. Right in the middle of a bunch of strip clubs and redneck bars. I would say its extra rowdy come derby.

This is the site of the old Yellowstone distillery. An accurate description of the neighborhood, but there should be no spillover into this site. I wouldn't hesitate to park and sleep in this place. Probably better than using a shopping center and being fairly vulnerable. It's not like people are spilling out of these places on foot looking for trouble.
