Who's Still Working on Taxes?

I just put the finishing touches on our 2008 filings a few minutes ago. The envelopes are addressed and they're ready for the mail. I must be a masochist, but I keep a record each year of how many actual "hands-on" hours I spend working on them. The grand total this year was 20 hours over the course of about five or six days. So is anyone else still at it?

And if you are - be advised, the post offices in Louisville are NOT, repeat, NOT staying open past normal hours to accept tax return mailings until midnight tomorrow. Regular hours, and no postmark deadline extensions. Not even the main branch.

Got ours done back in January...Which may explain why I (temporarily) reentered the workforce and spent 4 of the last 8 weeks in Oklahomastan. Anyone else "commute" 780 miles (ONE way) to their "part time" job ?

ugh. Got ours back from the accountant yesterday. Yes, late, but filed an extension. Unfortunately they came with a $5K nasty surprise.
