Looking for Derby Tickets to Purchase

by Leann C » Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:23 pm

Our usual source for tickets isn't going to happen this year. We would like to find 3rd floor clubhouse tickets (or higher level -- but that's probably a pipe dream).

I'd be happy to find two tickets for my husband and me. But we'd also be interested in buying a whole box since we have a number of friends who are also still looking for tickets. Please PM or give us a call at 479-7702. Thanks!

I'm sure that you've been scanning the Classified section in the Courier-Journal -- they usually post Derby tickets for sale (you could also post your own ad seeking tickets)....another source (if it's in your budget) are the on-line ticket vendors...while typically offering a wide variety of seat locations, they charge a premium....

My boss is VERY anxious to find a good deal on a Third Floor Clubhouse BOX for at least 4 for both the Oaks AND Derby. Under cover, of course (just in case of inclement weather).

Sections 312 to 321, Row D or higher.

If anybody has leads on tickets, please drop me an e-mail.

For anyone willing to gamble, you can buy some great tickets outside the gate. I have had 6th floor for $300 after the 3rd race, and 3rd floor clubhouse for face or just a bit more-- again if you wait til the 2nd or 3rd race people get a bit more anxious to unload their tickets. One word to the wise, take your own seating chart so you dont' buy lousy first turn seats at a premium.
