Target for quality, AND I do not patronize Walmart or Sam's Club for philosophical reasons.

I remember when I used to shop at the Target in Roseville, MN and it was the one and only Target in the world! (Guess I'm showing my age, but I remember how excited I was when it opened. At that time in was a new concept store for the Dayton or Dayton/Hudson Corporation. Dayton's has gone bye-bye, but Target is still around and I hope it lasts a long time.)

I go out of my way for Target. I am very impressed by their policy of giving back to the community.

The only people I have ever met that like Walmart are all from dry rural counties where the only things to do are farm, smoke meth, go to the post office, or go to Walmart. If I lived in a place like that I might like Walmart too, but probably only until I gave meth a try.

Always Target - store organization, design, prices, selection, everything about it makes shopping a pleasure. Having said that, there are some things that I know Walmart will have that Target doesn't - but I probably only go to Walmart once or twice a year.

While I know some folks are going to take offense with your statement, there is something to it. I remember when the Wal opened up in Lawrenceburg a couple of years ago. I read an interview with a couple of locals in the paper who took off from work for the big opening, stating something along the line that they wouldnt miss it for anything. I can also recall a soundbite I heard somewhere with a gal saying she was glad Dollar General was opening, saying now she wouldnt have to dress up to go to the store like she did when going to Wall mart.

Target, is my choice between the two options, even though target isnt my overall choice given all options. Walmart's business practices I find horrible.

When we moved to Maine, there were no Targets here. Barbara was jonesin' seriously for the store, so she wrote a letter (long hand, of course) to corporate offering to bake them cookies if they opened one here. Twelve years later, and there are now four Target stores in Maine.

I'm a Target man from WAY back........does Allmart ring a bell??????

Wal-Mart has some good bargains from time to time, however, I don't make it a habit to go there......
