I am currently starting a team for the National MS Society's Walk MS: Louisville 2009 event. This is a cause that I believe in very strongly and want to do everything possible to support it. I will be posting more info closer to the event on April 11th but wanted to get started as early as possible. If anyone would be interested in joining please let me know. Thanks, Mandy
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain, optic nerve and spinal cord. It comes and goes unexpectedly; leaving people to wonder “Will I become paralyzed, blind or have trouble walking? Will I be able to raise my family and continue my career?” What we do know is that for people who live with MS every day and those who love them, help is here. The National MS Society is the largest private sponsor of MS research in the world, supporting projects aimed at finding the cause of MS, better treatments and a cure. Locally, the Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Chapter provides valuable programs, services and resources to more than 30,000 people whose lives are affected by MS in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
