Car body work recommendation

by Brad Keeton » Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:54 pm

Can someone recommend a good auto body joint? My hood/fender area took a large tree limb to the face during the ice storm that I'd like to get repaired. This is an older car, and the work will not be covered by insurance, so the lower the cost the better. Thanks.

Hall's Body Shop in Buechel does good work. I can't speak to the competitiveness of their prices, but they're worth checking out.

We take our cars to Mannings off Blankenbaker on Electron Drive (I think). They do great, reasonably priced work and detail your car when their finished.

We just got our car back from Tucker's Auto Body on Adams in Butchertown, right off Story. They did a great job at a great price, and we didn't use our insurance, either. We will definitely go back there.

I'll ask the shop at my work in the morning, I always go to them first when I need work done or a recommendation for someone else when they can't do the work themselves on the side. I've never gone wrong with anything they've told me and usually get the most honest people at the best price.

We've been happy with Conn's on Bardstown near the Highland Kroger.
