Used Car Dealer recommendation?

by Deb Hall » Fri Feb 06, 2009 5:13 pm

We are suddenly in the market to buy a small newer used car ( probably Toyota or Honda) in a very short timeframe. ( our 2001 Toyota Solara convertible suddenly needs $500 worth of work and the trade-in is very low, so we don't want to sink any more into it.) We need really reliable and a really good deal, with no hassling. Good value is critical- this is the last thing we have budgeted for while I am job searching, but we keep our cars for 7-9 years so we need/want something that makes sense for the long-run.

Anybody know a great place or person who'll treat us fairly, and give us a good deal and a fair price on our trade-in?

Thanks,
Deb

I've bought 3 cars from Byerly Nisson/Ford and have been very happy with each deal as well as well as their service department. My most recent auto I bought from Bob Montgomery Honda on Dixie. I got a very good deal but I did a great deal of homework on my cars value. I also walked away from the first 2 deals offered. I can also tell you the worst dealership I tried to work with was Craig Landreth in Southern Indiana. My experience there was horrible bordering on nightmarish.
