Anyone (other than Shelby St.) with power in Germantown/Schnitzelburg yet?

I was just at my house on Lydia Street, down the block from Flabby's, still no power.

Nope, we even have a power line down on our street, but not even a truck in sight or even any caution tape yet. Hope it's not live...

Power is back on in Schnitzelburg thanks to a crew from Mt. Airy, North Carolina!

Still depends on what block you're on. As of 8:30 this morning, my block on Lydia was still without power. I saw a bunch of Pike Electric Co. workers congregating in the Kroger parking lot, though, so maybe today's the day.

We live near the corner of Ash & Reasor and our power was restored last night at 7:45 pm by Pike Electric from South Florida. Thanks you guys! Great job!! They must have had 50 workers in this area yesterday. :D

I don't technically live in Germantown but I like to think that I do. I'm closer to UofL near Crittenden & Eastern, but our power came back on in the middle of Friday night. My friends on Texas near Pindell still have no power.

Oops, should have specified! Lights are back on on Ash Street between Texas and Hickory.

Our power is back on, Lydia between Hickory and Texas. I was just at home, and judging by the clocks, we got it back about two hours ago.

We saw a bunch of trucks from Allegheny Power (Pittsburgh?) working up our block in Crescent Hill today, which seemed odd since we thought everyone on the block had power. But maybe there was a problem for a few houses, which would be good because it indicates that they are getting down to smaller problems. Erm, this isn't really about Germantown, is it? Still, I thought it might be useful general information.

I did make a point of telling them we're glad they're here and appreciate their work. They seemed to feel good about the props. Too bad I didn't have a big bag of White Castles for 'em.

Robin,

You missed a good opportunity...Had you offered them a "chipped ham" sandwich (or better yet a plate of Pierogis) and a couple of Rolling Rocks you would have had friends for life...Additionally, had you been able to tell them where you were and what you were doing when the "Immaculate Reception" occurred they would have probably shown you how to get your electric meter to run backwards (it can be done)... :D

At Grinstead and Cherokee, there are NO lights. Like the traffic lights are completely gone all together. I would avoid it if possible - around 5:30 everyday traffic gets backed up to Collegiate.
