New Eastside "Fresh Market" Coming

by Steve P » Fri Dec 19, 2008 1:58 pm

Not sure if this is a "scoop" or not but there will be a new Fresh Market grocery store going in at or near the intersection of Brownsboro Rd (Hwy 42) and The Watterson Expressway. Not sure exactly when...supposedly soon.

Honestly, that news floated through here several months ago because there were some public hearings about the potential traffic at that corner. None the less, doesn't hear to remind everyone now that construction is underway.

Considering I live across Shelbyville Road from the current location, I am in no hurry for the the new one to open.

It is 2010, because supposedly the ground is not level, or stable, or something there, and it will take a lot of time, and money to correct it?

Sounds odd to me.

I kinda figured this might be "old" news but Becky happened to run across the plans while at work the other day and thought I'd mention it. Old news or new we're looking forward to (someday) having an alternative to Walmart or Kroger's within the "Oldham County" convenience range.

I'm with you Steve. I love the one on Shelbyville Rd but it just isn't out far enough for regular trips. I was hoping someone would turn the Crestwood Market into a high end market.
