Terrible tragedy...

Today has been a very sad one. One of the paramedics at the EMS service I work for was working her shift out at Meade Co. this morning when she responded on a fatal car wreck. She was the first on the scene, only to discover the driver that was pronounced dead at the accident was her own daughter. We are doing everything we can to support her and family during this terrible time. I know how big of heart everyone on here is, thought I would post this link to the news story. http://www.wave3.com/global/story.asp?s=9507483 The Meade County Bank has set up a fund in the name of Dawn's daughter Chelsea Stinnett to help the family out. When I get more specific info on that I will post it, but thoughts and prayers for them are just as appreciated.

I was called yesterday morning by a member of Meade County EMS to find an LMEMS employee that is related to Chelsea. They wanted to notify him so he did not find out from the news. I was so impressed with the call; despite their own pain, they were still trying to help others. this is the one nightmare everyone in EMS dreads. The thoughts and prayers of LMEMS is with Dawn and her family.
