"Buy Outs" at the bird cage liner factory

by Bill Veneman » Wed Dec 03, 2008 9:40 am

I heard a blurb on the news this morning that several columnists are accepting buy outs at the CJ. Does anybody know the details. Heard it pre-coffee, and it really didn't register at the time.

Cheers!

I know that Byron Crawford, Diane Heilenman, Pableaux Johnson, and Linda Stahl were mentioned specifically. There was also someone from the business section but I can't remember the name. But the above 4 are the ones who really caught my attention early in the morning, pre-coffee, while brushing my teeth.

Interesting...Pableaux couldn't have been there much more than a year. I really like him personally, but thought it odd how little they were using him- maybe one column a week ( if that) - the rest is all Ron and Marty and fill-in from AP. Last time I looked ( probably a month ago), his C-J blog had not been updated since the storm/ electricity loss in mid September.
