Hi, Alison ... can you explain a little more what you want? We'll be glad to help, but I'm not clear about what exactly you want named.

I think that Alison picked the name of a 12 y/o and now is trying to figure out what to buy them. Boy or girl, Alison?

She's a girl. :  We are from Akron,Ohio. She would love something from Louisville,Derby,Kentucky.
I'm sure to spend more than the alloted fifty dollars, but whatever I get her should be wrapped in LOUISVILLE.K.Y.!! She love's where her aunt ali is, but what for that 12 yr old?

Does she visit often? Since you're her "Aunt Ali", how about a family or individual membership to the Ali Center? You can even "sponsor" her (costs the same as buying a membership) as an exemplary youth member.

A gift certificate for "Horses and Haunts", a tour by/at the Kentucky Derby Museum. 90 minutes every third Thursday

Eight Belles Ball Cap - not if she's too sensitive!

Try checking out Why Louisville. It's a local store on Bardstown Rd. They have a great selection of Louisville inspired tees.

Try a cool ornament from Glassworks, or a necklace from the arts and crafts center on Mellwood. Sure to be a hit.

Consulting with my 11 y/o son, he reports that all the middle school girls are reading the "Twilight" books, though she may have already found them.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions ! Marsha,I have now bought (FOR MOI) an 8 Belles cap.I worked as a banquet server for LGC for the sole reason to see what DERBY was all about.I was on the Jockey Club Patio on the back side with the owners and jockey's wives. They should have payed me.I didn't know what happened until I drove home to Middletown.
Ed,I knew that you had a teen in you house, thank you for asking MR.TEEN. I give Sarah stuff that over the years has shown her manners. "THANK YOU" , french for I have that. I'm sure old aunt Ali is behind the times.
We have decided to go searching for the shirts that describe the different ways to pronounce Louisville.

Thanks Again, Alison :D
