Wine Storage Facility?

Any suggestions for a professional, temperature controlled, wine storage facility in Louisville/So. Indiana area. Any suggestions?

TIA,

Bill

Bill, I'm a wine geek, but I'm not aware of any commercial wine-storage facilities in Louisville akin to those in larger cities like LA and NY. If there's anything like this around, it's a well-kept secret. You might try asking the managers of some of the city's better wine shops, though, in the event they know something I don't.

Thanks, Robin. I'll do that next time I'm down South.

Oh, hey, didn't recognize you without the "winger"!

Does this mean you guys are still thinking about moving down this way? It's still a great place to live!

That is still the big plan subject to the housing market/economy. Probably will stay North of the River, but that is always subject to change.

What about Underground Vault and Storage?
They're in an underground quarry beneath the Louisville Zoo.
I know they do boat, RV and vehicle storage down there. If they don't offer this service, it might be something they'd consider adding.
They have private vaults too.
Constant temp of about 56 degrees. High level of security.

I seem to remember that Morton's offers sometimg along those lines, but I amnot sure how it works. The stored wine may be meant for consumption on premise...I don't know, but it may be worth looking into.

Good call, Greg, but I'm almost sure those high-end eatery "locker" programs are for consumption on premises. Didn't Park Place do something like that too, or at least initially when it was Wellinghurst's?

I've got to second Lois' suggestion for Louisville Underground. I think I remember that they do wine storage for some customers. I know they store some very valuable antiques. That's where I'd call. Guaranteed constant temp regardless of the outside weather and any interruption of electrical services.

Louisville underground sounds like a great option. I'll call them and see if we can eventually work something out.

Thanks to everyone.

I talked today with Underground Vault and Storage. They suggested you contact Louisville Underground about wine storage. Their number is 458-4370. Website: http://www.louisvilleunderground.com
