Louisville makeup and hair?

by C. Devlin » Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:22 pm

Because I'm tired, and tired of me, I'm looking for a little rejuvenating (okay, renovating) through new makeup and perhaps hair. Any recommendations for really fabulous makeup and hair folks in Louisville?

I know the feeling well!

Joseph's salon in dupont does a great makeover experience. Jessica Cohen at Twisted salon 896-0722 does fantastic things w/ hair, and i've seen bride makeup done, so i'm thinking that they are another good option.

Good luck , and have lots of fun. :D

For makeup the BEST person is Bethany Tiesman. You can see her website at beautybybethany.com. I believe she also works at Twisted Salon. I just had my hair cut by Shea at Fixx Salon on Baxter Ave. He was really good.

Well ... I have to get my plug in! My stylist and make-up artist for all of my performances is Venedia Tingle at "Hair by V". She is in Middletown at Creations on Main ... phone is 502.682.8642 or 502.254.2204. She is also the stylist for the former Miss Jefferson County / Miss Carter County Chelsey McGlothin.

You guys are great. Now I'm thinking I should just try them all over the next year. Sounds like a Christmas gift waiting to happen. Thanks!

I truly believe that Chris Avery is the best kept secret in Louisville. He has done hair for several tv shows in Hollywood, and he's amazingly talented, and fun. You can find him at Shear Artistry on Baxter, the # is 454-5050. Tell him Michelle sent ya!

Michelle, thank you, that sounds very promising. All these recommendations should keep me busy and broke for months.
