Exotic plants at Crescent Hill farmers' market

by Robin Garr » Fri Sep 12, 2008 10:17 am

A neighbor of ours, Sheri Wright, who has one of the most amazing flower gardens on our block, tells us that she has started a small business, The Flying Puya, subtitled "A wonderment of exotica from around the world." She sells cactus, succulents, tropicals and terrariums, according to her new business card, and will have a stand at the small Saturday morning (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) farmers' market in Crescent Hill, parking lot of Crescent Hill United Methodist Church at Frankfort and Peterson. Sheri can also be reached at kasperfriend (at) yahoo.com.

Usual disclaimer ... no connection other than as back-fence pals - she and my bride are always talking about plants - but a look at her yard will tell you that this woman KNOWS her flowers and plants.
