Honda or Toyota Dealership

by carla griffin » Sun Aug 03, 2008 8:44 am

I am in the market for a new hybrid from either Honda or Toyota. I've always bought Nissans from Byerly Ford (they've been a great dealership for me) in the past but KY will not be getting the Nissan hybrid in 09. Would the formulites mind sharing their experiences with local Toyota /Honda dealerships with me? Also any experiences with hybrids would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Carla, I've had reasonably good luck with Oxmoor Toyota, although of course it's a car dealership and they aren't in business to give you a break.

I bought my current Toyota Matrix through a fellow who acts as a car broker, goes out, finds the car you want (any brand or style), negotiates, comes back to you with a price, and you can say yes or no. He doesn't do trade-in, but will sell your old car for you on commission. He got our Matrix for $2,500 under the best price I could have had from a dealer, and sold our previous Echo for a decent price.

If you're interested, PM me. He's truly trustworthy - a high-school classmate of mine.

My nephew, Jeremy Judah, works at Honda of Clarksville. If you're still looking for a car, please call him at 551-7290. Hey, he's only been a salesman for a short time, if anybody needs a car, please call him!!!!!!!!

Here's how awesome Jeremy is-my best friend's (Dave) car died. I asked him to please call Jeremy about a car. Dave and his wife went to the dealership and looked at a Honda Fit. However, Dave also looked at the Kia dealership. After about a week, Dave decided to buy the Kia, because it was cheaper. When I talked to Jeremy about it, he wasn't upset at all with Dave for not buying a car from him, but Jeremy said he just wished Dave hadn't bought the Kia because it was a piece of ***.
I think it is probably really rare to find a car salesman who cares about his customers and who, after working with a customer for a week, cares enough to be concerned about the person, even when they don't buy a car from him.
Also, as an extra recommendation, Jeremy is a restaurant lover and may even be a forumite!

Steer Clear of Hurstbourne Parkway (AKA Swopeville USA).......have had several bad experiences over the years. To the point that when I was looking at Saturn's, I went to Cincinnati.......then wound up buying a Pontiac in LaGrange.

My mom has had her Prius Hybrid for for about a year and loves, loves, loves it. That's probably what we are getting shortly to replace our 8 year old Solara convertible.

We've had very god experience with service at Oxmoor Toyota, but we bought the Solara at Greenville Toyota (their price was better on what was then a "scarce commodity" car).
