Crescent Hill Imports

Does anyone know if Crescent Hill Imports has closed or moved? I drove by last week and it looked like the lawnmower business had taken over the entire garage.

I'm afraid that's so, Beth. After I raved about Tony and his company a while back, several people reported that the auto shop seems to be gone. I'm sorry about the misinformation. When we had an older Toyota, we totally relied on Tony and loved his work, but with newer cars in warranty, I've sort of felt like we had to go to the dealer. I don't know if that's stupid or not.

It would be nice to know if Tony has turned up working somewhere else.

Tell you what, let's make a forum deal: Next time any of us Crescent Hill/St. Matthews folks are around there, let's agree to drop by and ask. Maybe they can tell us where Tony went.

Noooooooo!!!!!!! I was so scared that would be the answer.
Tony was the best; he's the only person I've taken my car to for years. I seriously think I'm going to cry.

I have a guy I've used for years - totally trustworthy, and as far as I can tell never, ever sold me anything I didn't need or overcharged me. He does not do body work or transmission work (but can tell you who to go to for that!).

It's John Cecil at Cecil's Chevron downtown on 8th Street between Liberty and Muhammad Ali. 583-8559. Tell him Marsha sent you

Don't cry yet, Beth! Maybe we can track him down! :)

Heck, I didn't even get my new Matrix from a local dealer, I got it right off the boat from a broker (Honest, it just fell off the truck! ;) ). If I could just take it to a guy like Tony rather than the dealer from the get-go, I'd do that in an instant.

I called Saunders today and was informed that Tony has retired. Good for him. (Although it still makes me very sad in a very selfish way.) The hunt begins for a new car shop. . .
