On the other hand, I went to buy some dog food today. When I bought a 20-pound bag two weeks ago, the price was $15.99. Today, the price is $18.99 for an 18 pound bag. Hey, that's the way they do it: reduce the product size and increase the price.

If that is true, then maybe that tax needs to be changed. In the meantime, travel over here to Indiana and get the gas a little cheaper,( although not very much cheaper) and stop in at some of the fine dining establishments that this strange little area has to offer.
Robin Garr wrote:From what I understand about the tax, Alan, the amount of it is a tiny, tiny fraction of the price we're paying these days, and eliminating it is not going to address the problem.

If, in real life, GM has the capability to put a car on the market with an electric battery that will hold a charge for 600 miles @ 70 MPH you have to wonder why they don't put it out there. Texeco bought the right to the aforementioned battery BTW. I think it's in that warehouse seen in Indiana Jones.
