At 7:45 PM Thursday, WHAS-11 is reporting $4.29 a gallon in certain Louisville stations. See http://www.LouisvilleGasPrices.com for the latest prices in town.

The Speedway by my house(Hurstbourne and Taylorsville) is ALWAYS the first to raise prices....

I can run down to Hikes Point and get cheaper gas most of the time before noon after the Speedway post's their price on the sign.

When I see gas prices go up in the afternoon, I always go to Swifty. The seem to wait until the evening or the end of the day to raise their prices, plus the give you five cents per gallon off if you use cash.....

The Speedway at the corner of Taylorsville Road and Bon Air (right by Bowman Field just past where Mazzoni's was, across teh street from that liquor store) usually has the lowest prices. I got gas there today for $4.02/gallon (still cost me 50 bucks). In my own neighborhood, gas is $4.20/gallon. Heck, the gas at the Speedway on Westport Road right next to Target was even more expensive than the Chevron at Hubbards & Westport yesterday.
The Thorntons by KMart in Hikes Point is sometimes a little cheaper than most places; also the double Thorntons on Bardstown Road at the corner of Goldsmith Lane; and the Speedway or Thorntons (not sure which it is) at the corner of Lyndon Lane and LaGrange Road.
Still, the one on Tville Road by Bowman Field is usually the cheapest.

Yeah, it's especially rude since this morning gas was $4.04 (still no bargain by any means) and this afternoon it's $4.29. Ridiculous!

What is even worst, I was in Shelbyville and it was 3.89.

I filled my tank at the Speedway for the low tariff of $4.03(I saved $6.00) as opposed to the $4.29 everywhere else....

Thanks Ellen for the Heads Up!
