Bosch dishwasher

by carla griffin » Thu Jun 19, 2008 6:54 am

The pump went out on my noisy, 3 year old Whirlpool dishwasher. I've never liked it anyway. I'm thinking of getting a Bosch. Anyone had any good/bad experiences with one?

Our dishwasher would not give up the ghost after 29 years of service. No amount of sabotage would end its reign of dishwasher madness. Night after night it would rev up like a west bound 747 carrying relief supplies to Iceland. Being descended of mighty scotsman, who would howl from the grave at the slightest sign of fiscal weakness, we convinced ourselves (and our noble ancestors) that we would save money by getting a more efficient machine. We purchased a Frigidaire for two very good reasons:

1. The salesperson at Lowes reported that Bosch was having some issues with door sealing and motor problems and

2. I just like standing in the kitchen and saying (in my deepest James Earl Jones imitation voice) Stand Back! You are about to see the mighty power of AquaSurge(tm) with SpeedClean(tm) in Action!!!!! Which I have to believe because it's printed right there on the front!!!!!

We like it because it is very quiet and our dishes are clean.

Everybody say it with me OUT LOUD: AquaSurge with SpeedClean!!!! Obviously that makes things cleaner.

Forget GE....I have had a dishwasher...dryer...washer all replcaed over the past year...All were purchased new in 1999..plus had many issued with them during those years...Unless you buy the top of the line GE they are not very good...You can also look at any consumer rating magazine and see that GE falls short...or better yet just go online and read up on there products....LG brand has been getting very good reviews.

I have a Bosch. I have had it a few years and I love it! It is not the high end model, but the cheapest Bosch I found at Lowes. I do not have to rinse the dished before putting them in the dishwasher. My test was to put knives with peanut butter slather on them and washed the knives, they came out perfectly clean. I did have a LG on order, but when the installer came into my kitchen, he said it would not fit into the space. The plumbing would have to go under the floor or behind the wall. The LGs are fully encased, which keeps them really quiet, but makes the plumbing an issue.

Once again I will sing the praises of Sears.....

The Kenmore dishwasher we got in our home is Awesome!

They offer better service if something goes wrong than any where else period!
