Petting zoo near Prospect

I'm trying to remember the name of the petting zoo that is out near Prospect. Maybe there isn't one there, but I'm thinking we went there for a field trip one year. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It might not even be an actual petting zoo, but something like that? Thanks!

Henry's Ark on Rose island Rd. Last time I was there it was a petting zoo. Great to do on a pretty day!!

I think that the owner of that zoo passed away a few years ago.

The owner (Henry Wallace) did die a couple of years ago. As far as I know it is still open. No charge but a donation can be made. Not a formal place like the Louisville Zoo. Lots of different animals .. some you can feed and pet .. some not.

If you go bring food such as cut up carrots, celery because the animals are used to coming to you to get stuff. Camels, goats, rabbits can be fed.

Henry's Ark on Rose Island-- Still was open as of last week, but not every day. You might want to be aware that some days various animals are cruising the parking lot- and don't leave your windows open as they have been known to chew on seats if they can get to them. They accept donations. I miss talking to Henry, he was one of the most interesting people I have ever met.
