Louisville Parks Obstacle Courses?

by Aaron Newton » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:05 pm

Does anyone know of any open ground level obstacle courses at Louisville area parks? Kids playground equipment is of course plentiful, but I'm looking for an actual obstacle course to do some outdoor training now that spring is here.

If I am not mistaken there are some on the trail than runs along Bowling Blvd over by Milestone fitness center...I amy be wrong, but you may want to do a drive by...

I have also seen some in Cherokee park when I'm mountain biking, but I can't remember where they were...I think it was maybe just a pull up bar and a couple of other items...they may be gone now...

I haven't been in years, but E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park used to have some things along their bike/running paths. I remember there was a pull-up bar, sit-up bench, balance beams, and some others. Is that what you're looking for?

I think they call it the Fitness Trail and it has all sorts of challanges along the path...
