Local voice-over industry contacts?

by Ryan G. » Wed Mar 12, 2008 2:31 pm

Hello all,
Does anybody on the forum have contacts in Louisville or Lexington in the voice-over (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice-over) industry? And/or, do you have personal recommendations for a local professional voice-over demo producer (someone who would select scripts to fit the client's specific voice, and then record a sixty second commercial demo track and sixty second narration demo track).

If specific recommendations are not available;
1. Do you think a studio like Mom's Music would provide such a service?
2. What other studios are there is Louisville, similar to Mom's Music, that might offer a producer's services by an hourly rate?

Thanks.

Tom Birch used to or maybe still does voice-overs. He may have some contacts for you. You can usually catch him at the Bourbons Bistro bar. Otherwise, I don't have any contact information for him. Maybe Jeremy J. can provide more information since he works there.

You might try Chris Bizianes at Bizianes Music:

Bizianes Music
2317 Bardstown Rd
Louisville, KY 40205
(502) 459-4686

He's a producer/musician/teacher and has an all-digital recording studio at the store. He teaches studio recording at Bellarmine University.

Michael Lattin does the voice overs for most of the Secrets of Louisville Chefs series and The Home Zone and has the most natural "commercial" sounding deep baritone voice out there....
He is with BMB Productions here in Louisville and I can provide you with contact information if you PM me...

I work in the broadcast/advertising industry and I know lots of these guys. Shoot me a PM and let me know what you are trying to do...if it is for a radio/TV spot the production is usually free...otherwise, I get can get it done pretty inexpensively...

I do a fair number of local/regional VOs thru Radio Joe (http://www.radiojoe.net). Ask for Will -- tell him I sent you.
