Tai Chi?

by MichelleJ » Sat Feb 23, 2008 11:53 am

Does anyone know of a tai chi group or tai chi classes in Louisville. There is a Tai Chi society, which I emailed but I got no response from them. I know there is a group at UofL but I'm having trouble finding many others. I'd love to find one that meets outdoors in good weather.

Thanks.

I've done it at Uof L and at the Clifton Center. They were both different forms, but both good. I preferred the Clifton Center (Taoist) b/c it lent itself more towards meditation during the exercises. Have fun!

Hi Michelle! My daughter who is 6 has been taking karate @ St. Matthews Martial Arts for the past 2 years and LOVES it!!! Master Joan is the BEST and offers Tai Chi as well as many other fitness focused classes-# is 899-5506. I take pilates as well as sessions on the Power Plate while Ava is in Karate...it's a very grassroots place.

FYI - I just got an email from the Clifton Center that the Taoist Tai Chi Society is relocating.

Their new info is:

I'd like to find a good beginning Yoga Class close to me in Hikes Point. Been wanting to try it forever now, just haven't found a good place.
