I seem to have amassed a lot of broken, dated, or at least unwanted electrics. Does anywhere in town collect and recycle these things? They include an ancient cuisineart, monitors, a computer from the ninties etc.
Gary, it used to be that the city would take that kind of thing and recycle it if you dropped it off at an office at the Meriwether Avenue incinerator. We took some ancient computers over several years ago. I don't know if it's still active, but a tour through the Metro website ought to dig it up. Or a call to 311?
As far as I know CyberCycle is still operational, but their hours are limited. Call MetroCall to find out. Some may be donated to Lvl1 (http://www.lvl1.org/) to o be used to build new things. They are just past the RR tracks by Copper and Kings. They are a non-profit, so you could get a tax deduction.
