I'd highly recommend Mary Anne Tonini of
Home Inspection of Kentuckiana.
I met Mary Anne via historic preservation events in New Albany. She's very thorough and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to older homes. Preservationist-type folks soon learn that a lot of inspectors and appraisers lack experience with older homes, making it more difficult to deal with banks, mortgage brokers, etc. Mary Anne is becoming the "go to" inspector in New Albany because of her firsthand, old house experience.
Check out this
roofer's blog for recent before and after photos of her own home. To my knowledge, it's the second she's personally restored.
