I just came from Burger's Supermarket (on Ray Avenue - just off Grinstead - next to Collegiate school, 3.7 miles from Old Sears). The butchers listened to my rather weak description of the dish I'm planning, offered suggestions on the cut of meat that would work, butterflied two pork loins for me, gave me explicit suggestions on preparation and cooking times, and offered butcher's twine to help me.
Another gentlemen at the counter wanted the butchers to measure a cut of meat before purchasing it because his wife did not think her pan was large enough for the cut. What do they do? They give him one of their restaurant-quality, stainless steel pans large enough to accomodate the beef. I suspect they were lending it to him but what amazing service! I love that place.
