In the market for a moderately priced faux finisher (walls), and/or muralist to a home.

If anyone has suggestions I am open!

Martin Alan Hirsch comes to mind. Mr. Hirsch was a regular on the old forum. The pix shown in the residential commision section are for the most part Martin's home.

Ashley Dunn, who is a member of this forum is an excellent artist. I don't know how much time she has to devote to such a project, but it would be worth sending her an IM and asking.

I don't know if you're into DIY, but when my wife, Mary, admired the faux treatment at Melillo's and we found out that Ashley did it herself, she put her head together with Ashley, learned the trick, and did a room in our house that way. It wasn't hard to do - for Mary, anyway, who has a good artistic eye - it looks as good to me as the faux I've seen in a couple of local eateries, but I'm an easy judge.

Heather,

I've done the faux finishing on walls several times, and as Robin pointed out , it's not terribly hard. If you like to do that sort of thing, I'll be happy t give you some tips.
(Can't help on the mural though unless you want a wallpaper mural... )
