Car service to and from airport

by JenS » Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:01 pm

Does anyone have any experience with using a car service to take them and pick them up from Lou International Airport? We would like to find an alternative to paying to have our car parked in the airport lot for 8 days. We have two booster seat using kids, so that complicates things a bit. Would be fine using a Taxi, just looking for suggestions.

Thanks!

If it were me, I'd find (pay) a trustworthy friend or a co-worker to drive my car and drop me off and pick me up.

I know folks who like this service for airport transport: http://www.louisvilletransport.com/. I think the further out you go, the better deal it is vs. a cab.

I use Yellow cab for transport to the airport (I use it on longer trips when I am leaving earlier than my wife wants to get up), and for getting home, I just go to the taxi line and get the first one available. I live close enough that cabs are cheaper than a car service.

I echo Steve's suggestions. If your are trying to save a few bucks, that would be the best way to go. I absolutely loathe paying for a parking spot ANYWHERE, but I always seem to fly alone, so my wife always drops me off and picks me up .You wouldn't have to worry about dealing with the car seats either as you will have enough to worry about flying with two small children. I wish you the best of luck!
I hate to admit it, but you will get the stink eye from quite a few of the seasoned business travelers who cringe at the sight of small kids or babies in line at the security check point or for their flight. I'll admit that I'm guilty of this too, having spent my fair share of time trapped in the air with screaming babies and chair back kicking and curious toddlers.
