St. Matthews gets a Dollar Tree!

There's a big sign that says Dollar Tree is going in to the Old Sear's Building where Family Christian Store, formerly Wellspring Bookstore, used to be, diagonal from the old Boston Market, more recently Heine Brothers and now Chiller's. I can see some good old competition, and customer sharing, between them and Big Lots!

This post gave me the giggles... When a Dollar Tree opens around here, no one is ever this excited! (I live in Valley Station; we've got more dollar type stores than you can shake a stick at!)

Anyway, congratulations, St. Matthews, happy bargain hunting!

Within 10 min drive from my house I have at least 4 Dollar General Stores and a Dollar Market , a Deals and a Dollar Tree, slightly further is a Family Dollar as well. I will trade them all , well I will keep the Dollar Market for one more independant place to eat (Thank God Lonnie's moved to the area)

I was in L.A. in the fall and there was a controversy going on about the 99 Cents Only store seeking space on Rodeo Drive. Apparently a store on Wilshire Blvd nearby is their highest volume location.
