Appliance repair

by Chris Dunn » Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:41 pm

I have a GE gas range that is trying to kill me - it has a gas leak when I use the oven (but not the stove top), and according to the LG&E guy the oven is "going bad". Can anyone recommend a local appliance repair shop with which they've had good luck? The range is only 5 years old and I'm hoping I don't have to replace it already.

Thanks!

Apple Appliance on Shelby street, don't have their phone number handy. Craig, the owner, will be very honest with you about whether or not it is fixable. If it is not, he will recommend the best brands for a replacement.

We've used AAble Appliance Repair numerous times and always have been pleased. They're in the phone book. Also honest if it really can't be fixed.

AAble gave us a sticker the first time they came out. We put it on the lip of the drawer under the stove where pots and pans live. We always know where their phone number is, because it's right there on the stove!

Also the fine folks at Sears have a pretty good service dept and will fix almost anything.
